Janikin Energy expands its global presence with a strategic stake in the UAE

Janikin Energy, a global engineering staffing and technical consultancy, has expanded its presence in the United Arab Emirates by acquiring a stake in UAE-based Diverse Resourcing LLC. The move supports the company’s ongoing efforts to scale workforce mobility and meet growing labor demands in regional energy markets.
The UAE remains a critical hub for energy projects that span traditional oil and gas sectors alongside a growing emphasis on renewables. With increased investments in infrastructure and clean energy, securing technically qualified talent continues to challenge project timelines and capacity. Janikin Energy’s investment signals an intention to support clients by addressing this workforce bottleneck.
Jamie Marland, CEO of Diverse Resourcing, welcomed the development and said: “We’re proud to be joining a global group like Janikin Energy. Their robust operational platform and strategic vision has already been instrumental in supporting our growth, and I’m looking forward to seeing this accelerate our growth throughout 2025 and beyond.”
The partnership allows Janikin Energy to enhance its hiring capabilities within the UAE. The company is expected to deliver recruitment and compliance services that reflect the regulatory requirements of the region. Its presence in the Gulf is also expected to boost collaboration with energy-sector engineering and procurement contractors.
Darren Dickson, head of Middle East projects for Janikin Energy, described the UAE as both a key market and an entry point to neighbouring economies. “Our investment reflects strong confidence in the region’s ambitious economic diversification strategy. Over the past year, a wave of investment and technological advancements has been reshaping production capabilities, including in the clean energy sector, which is of key interest to us.”
Janikin Energy is also supporting cross-border workforce deployment, an area of growing importance as energy companies expand operations across the Middle East and North Africa. Differences in labor laws, visa procedures, and tax rules pose challenges to project continuity, challenges the company says it is well placed to help clients navigate.
“With many of our European and US-based clients already active in the UAE, it was a natural step to strengthen our on-the-ground capabilities – especially in niche technical areas like offshore engineering,” said Matthew Kellet, group business development director.
There has been industry interest in whether Janikin Energy will roll out new digital recruitment tools or training programs locally, though the company has not announced formal plans. For now, it remains focused on job placement, mobility, and regulatory support. Discussions around potential workforce development collaborations with local institutions are ongoing.
Janikin Energy’s UAE investment underscores its broader strategy to expand in high-demand regions, particularly where large-scale energy developments are underway. With a local presence and expanded capabilities, the company aims to support clients navigating labor shortages and shifting regulatory conditions.
